Woven by the tribal weavers of Shiraz in southern Persia, this hand-knotted masterpiece carries the soul of nomadic craftsmanship in every knot. The deep crimson field: rich with rose, burgundy, and faded blush - tells the story of natural dyes doing what no synthetic color ever could: age beautifully.

A dramatic central medallion commands the field, surrounded by a dense scatter of paisley, boteh, and geometric florals in the classic Shiraz tradition. The border system is bold and layered - dark navy grounds rows of repeating rosettes in ivory, amber, and hunter green, creating a frame as complex as the field it contains. Stylized animals and tribal symbols peek through the composition, a hallmark of genuine nomadic weaving.

Hand-knotted with a high, lush pile that feels substantial underfoot. Vegetable-dyed wool gives the colors their characteristic warmth and depth - the kind of tonal variation and natural patina that synthetic dyes simply cannot replicate. The original grey wool fringe is intact on both ends.

Shiraz has been a center of tribal rug weaving for centuries. Made by the Qashqai and related tribes, these rugs were woven for daily use - built tough, dyed with plants from the land, and designed with motifs passed down through generations of weavers who never used a pattern book.

One of a kind. Cannot be replicated.
